Director – Producer – Performer

Theatre is a dynamic art form. It must be poked at and pulled apart. It must be flexible and responsive. It is time to let go, remodel, and move forward.

Jonathan Beller is a director, producer, and performer. He is a core member of the MB Adaptors Theatre Company, having contributed to the creation and performance of Deja vu, Pulling Strings, and their most recent production, Headshot! He is a certified Margolis Method instructor and proudly teaches at the Margolis Method Center Intl., in Highland, NY.

Jonathan has worked with The Guthrie Theatre, Spiderwoman Theatre, The Rasquachi Players, Prism Theatre, Arizona State University, Montclaire State University, and The Combustible Company, among others. He has served as the Artistic Director of Theatrikos Theatre Company of Northern Arizona from 1997 – 2007 where he produced and directed over 75 productions: canonical plays, re-imaged classics, and new work from local and national playwrights. He is also the founding director of the Phoenix Fringe Festival, a multi-day, multi-venue, experimental theatre celebration in Phoenix AZ.

He holds a M.Ed. from Northern Arizona University and an MFA from Arizona State. He is involved with KCACTF Region 5 and teaches acting workshops and Master Classes in movement and acting around the country. He currently serves as Assistant Professor of theatre at Metropolitan State University in Minneapolis, MN where Margolis Method is at the center of the program’s actor training curriculum.
